Lorescape

Lorescape is the next generation in terrain for tabletop gaming. Our hex tiles are modular, realistic and customisable, allowing you to enhance your gaming experience in the way you want to.

Precision engineered side-joining connectors and stackability mean you can make any size and shape of terrain you want, from full table sized worlds to small terrain features to add elevation to flat printed maps.

An open source top surface interface and free designs for 3-printed clips allow you to integrate your existing games, accessories and minifigures into our product to maximise the value of your existing collection.

Lorescape hex terrain tiles are 32.75mm and come either in base colour, or highly detailed and realistic printed surface textures in a range of terrain types and objects.

These tiles were made to make terrain building a simple, fun, and controllable process that adds to gameplay and allows a single terrain system to be used and re-configured for a number of different games, saving you time, money and storage space.

The Sets

Grassland

(100 pcs.)

Our original basic set, the grassland set gives you a variety of grassy terrain. Each tile is subtly unique, so they can be used as a default board, or specifically arranged to highlight/utilise certain features for gameplay, such as bushes, puddles, gravel, dry areas and mud.

Grassland

streams and tracks (100pcs.)

This grassland set comes with 50 tiles of basic grassland, and 50 tiles of streams and tracks that seamlessly integrate into the grassland set. Having a map with a road or stream across it, or a combination of both, can greatly enhance gameplay options, or just provide a nice aesthetic touch. Whether your characters travel by water or horse and cart, they will find what they need in this set.

Mountains

(100pcs.)

This set introduces tiles more suited to hilly or mountainous terrain, with a mixture of 50 stone coloured tiles with textures of barren, rock landscape, and 50 dirt tiles, with textures of barren earth and gravel scree that allow you to build a visually convincing outcropping, mountainside, canyon or just a barren, dead landscape.

Who are we?

We are a group of three designers, graphic artists and beard enthusiasts who love games and toys. We worked together at an educational toy company for five years, between us conducting every part of the cycle of developing a toy product, producing it, and getting it into the hands of our customers.
We realised two things: Firstly, that there was not a satisfying modular hex terrain product on the market, and secondly, that we could design one! When the previous company we worked at was sold, we joined together to bring this vision into reality, and have been working on this project since 2022.

James

James, the CEO, is a professional engineer and toy designer with nearly 10 years in the industry. James likes wargaming, strategy, and has a soft spot for Warhammer gaming and lore (heresy era, if you are asking).

Rafał

Rafal, the sales and marketing director, is a graphic designer, sales and logistics maestro, and tabletop gamer who also loves creating videos, watching movies, playing video games and organize work of the others.

Mateusz

Mateusz, the Art director, is a designer, graphic artist, engineer and polymath who lives in a gamers cave full of laser-cutters, CNC machines and 3D printers and has never met a prototype he can’t fabricate from something he has lying around. In free time he enjoys diving, flying drones and doing projects with fellow cultural heritage foundation.

The Plan

Our Lorescape hex product is in the advanced prototype phase, and, after a dozen iterations, testing and refining the design, is ready for public Beta testing and soon after that, for product launch.

We will be running a crowdfunding campaign to launch the initial product in late 2024. This crowdfunding campaign will fund the production tooling, initial production run, and all the graphics and artwork that goes with such a product.
